Our Very First Wellbeing Fest Is A Huge Success!

We are thrilled to announce that our very first Wellbeing Fest was a huge success. Industry professionals came together and donated their time to create an amazing itinerary of wellbeing activities for adults and for families at Redcar Athletic FC. Local vendors were on site selling everything from jewellery to cupcakes and offering advice to those in need. In attendance were delicious food trucks and an ice cream van to keep visitors fed, watered and cool on the day and MFC’s ROARy the Lion even made a special appearance!

The aim of the day was to promote wellbeing in the community and we were absolutely thrilled with the turn out. Families enjoyed the free play area set up by our team members Carl and Callum as well as Face Painting by Arty Nic, the Circus Skills Workshop by Creative Seas, Yoga by Body Mind Yoga, Journaling Workshop by Jen and Fitness session by Fit Pod By Liz. Lorri’s Story Corner and book trail were a great hit with the kids and the adults enjoyed numerous wellbeing workshops such as Tai Chi by Carl, Singing Bowl Meditation by The Conscious Crone, Soul Journey by LV Holistic Therapy, Breathwork by Roy, Singing For Wellbeing by The Rise Up Project, Boxing by Knock Out Depression and Meditation for Beginners by Helen. We never intended the day to be a fundraiser however in total £395.71 was raised for the charity and we are extremely grateful.

The whole team really came together and worked their socks off to showcase the very best of what The Link has to offer. The staff deserve a huge thank you for giving up their last Saturday of the half term break to help make the day as incredible as it was.

A special thank you needs to be given to Helen Bartram and Jessica Hill for the amount of time, effort and dedication they put into the day. Their hard work and leadership was paramount to the success of the day.

Thank you to those who gave up their time to run workshops and activities on the day and to the local vendors and stall holders for being a part of our first festival. Thank you also to all those who attended and donated.
