Anxiety is our body’s natural response to stress. It’s a feeling of fear or apprehension about what’s to come. Especially in these times of uncertainty feelings of anxiety can be extreme, last for long periods of time and can interfere with your life. This Workshop consists of four, 2-hour sessions over 4 weeks to help you understand and manage your anxiety.
Our low mood workshop is a four week workshop that runs for two hours once a week. This workshop will help you gain an understanding of low mood and how it can impact on daily functioning. Our 1:1 interventions are delivered by an experienced adult mental health practitioner. We can provide both emotional and practical support which will help you to manage your mental health and recognise your own mental health stressors, whilst developing coping strategies to improve your mental wellbeing. 1:1 interventions will be provided in a safe, supportive environment where you will be able to talk to an experienced professional about what’s on your mind. We will work with you to help you achieve your personal goals and offer advice and guidance along the way.
Our Chat ‘N’ Chill group is a place for adults to chat, have a hot drink, share their feelings and discuss the world (whether that be politics or the best type of potato).
It is facilitated by an Adult Mental Health Worker who can provide some support and a listening ear if required and available to adults from 18 to 80.
The LCT Art & Social Club is a friendly, inclusive group for 5-12yr olds, where we explore creativity and play. We use the fabulous natural environment around us like Redcar Beach and Locke Park, to engage the children in a mix of art and social activities including foraging, rock pooling and football. We can also provide the opportunity to venture further afield to explore locations such as New Marske Woods. When the weather is not with us we have a fabulous art space in The Palace Hub right on Redcar’s lovely esplanade. Come along and be creative, come and find a friend, come and play.
Space to talk is our talking therapy group for children and young adults. Talking therapies are treatments which involve talking to a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The Family Hub Project is a project within The Link Charitable Trust focusing on engaging with families in our local community, and providing relaxed and informal support that is flexible to suit each families/individuals needs. This can include support around looking after our well-being, parenting strategies, basic budgeting and even having someone to talk to once a week to reduce social isolation. We take pride in our flexible approach and have strived to continue to remain accessible both online and offline throughout the pandemic. With this in mind, we have created various resources that we are providing for free to our families within the service, and other families seeking support and help.
