The Family Hub project
The funding priorities of the Family Hub Project is to bring people together and build strong, positive relationships within the local community, to give local residents more responsibility to make a positive difference; help families address any issues at the earliest opportunity in order to raise their aspiration levels and reduce poverty. The aim of the Family Hub Project is to also to identify gaps in services to vulnerable families and with the help of the local community help to meet the needs of these families.
Tots Crafty Crew- Every Friday 9.30am-11.30am at Redcar Athletic Football Club.
Due to popular demand and gap for this service an under 5yrs group was set up in July 2021 at the local Redcar Athletic Football Club. The club had the ideal facilities to run a baby and toddler group having a good size room and a safe secure large space for the children to play in. This group is going from strength to strength and has introduced a number of initiatives such as art and crafts themes each week, sing song sessions with children playing musical instruments, and story time. This group is still early in its development and we will continue to listen to the feedback from parents/carers as to how the group is progresses.
1-1 Support
1-1 work continues to be provided to both children and adults who may find it difficult coping in groups and have more complex needs. An assessment and plan has been devised to focus the work and ensure the appropriate support is provided and outcomes are achieved. Refer to the below case study as an example.
We also run specialist activities and projects such as Easter and summer holiday programme along with one off events such as Christmas and Halloween parties, being part of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s lantern parade keep checking our Facebook and website for updates about these events and sessions or feel free to contact us.
